Hi, Iām Laurel.
Laurel is a clinical social worker who has been working in social service around the Pacific Northwest for over ten years. Laurel is a cisgender woman of Western European and Arab/SWANA ancestry. She lives with her spouse, two children, and two cats in Tacoma. Laurel relaxes by playing cozy video games, reading, and doing yoga on her dirty floor. She also enjoys cheesy snacks and planning imaginary vacations.
Laurel came to social work through an interest in global politics, human rights and social justice as well as personal experiences with mental health struggles and neurodivergence. Laurel started working in social service while completing her bachelor's at The Evergreen State College in Olympia. Laurel obtained her Master's in Social Work from the University of Washington in 2019. She has been in clinical practice since 2020.
